Inside Access from Chase invites you to a special dinner with Chef Bryan Caswell at his award winning REEF restaurant in Houston. Your private evening begins with signature cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres in REEF’s 3rd BAR, cleverly named for the third sand bar where sharks often lurk. After the reception your evening will unfold in REEF’s main sea inspired dining room where the tranquil watery hues will set the mood for the night.
Co-founders Chef Bryan Caswell and Bill Floyd will host this informative evening. The dinner will feature some unusual catches unique to the Gulf and not commonly offered in restaurants due to their limited availability. Chef Caswell will describe the courses and address questions along the way.
For the first time at REEF, Chef Caswell will host one of Houston’s legendary fish mongers to talk about the fish market experience. Gulf of Mexico seafood selections including Red Snapper will be specially prepared and presented family style.
Bill Floyd will also highlight a featured selection of wines from Bravante, a Napa Valley Winery, owned by Houstonians Gordon Bethune and Larry Kellner, both former Continental Airlines CEOs.
Nominated for James Beard Best Chef Southwest two years in a row, Bryan Caswell was also a contestant on "Next Iron Chef." He grew up along coastal waters and sharpened his culinary skills in water-side hot spots from New York to Hong Kong and Barcelona to the Bahamas. Chef Caswell will create a menu that combines his passion for fresh fish with the rainbow of flavors and textures of locally grown produce. Coupled with Caswell’s Jean Georges-inspired culinary savvy, this evening will truly be an amazing experience.
